Add vehicles, pedestrians, and traffic lights
drawtonomy ships templates for the actors and traffic elements you need in driving scenarios.
Vehicles
Section titled “Vehicles”- Press P to open Participants.
- Pick a vehicle template (Sedan, Bus, Truck, Motorcycle).
- Click on the canvas to place. The vehicle drops at its template default size.
Drag a corner handle to resize. Drag the rotation handle to align it with a lane.
Pedestrians
Section titled “Pedestrians”In the same Participants menu, pick a pedestrian template (Walking, Simple).
Traffic lights
Section titled “Traffic lights”The Participants menu also includes vehicle and pedestrian signals. Place them at intersection corners. They are static shapes; they don’t run a signal phase.
Custom templates
Section titled “Custom templates”You can add your own SVG templates and contribute them by PR. See the Template Guide.
Populating a path with vehicles
Section titled “Populating a path with vehicles”To place a row of vehicles along a path (for headway diagrams or follow-the-leader scenes), use Path Footprint.
