Browser OpenSCENARIO simulator — open and play .xosc in the browser (free, no install)

Looking for a free, online way to open and play a .xosc file without installing anything? drawtonomy is a browser-based OpenSCENARIO simulator — drop a .xosc + .xodr on the canvas and it runs.

drawtonomy is a free browser whiteboard for driving scenarios. Because it embeds esmini compiled to WebAssembly, it doesn’t just play back a pre-rendered scene — it runs the OpenSCENARIO 1.x storyboard live in the page, including acts, triggers, and parameter declarations. The simulation core is esmini itself; drawtonomy is the browser shell around it. All credit for the runtime semantics goes to the esmini project and its Swedish ADAS community maintainers.

Open a .xosc in the browser, simulate it via esmini-WASM, scrub the timeline, and record the run as .webm.
  • Open .xosc + .xodr in the browser, no install, no compile, no MATLAB.
  • Play, pause, seek, frame-step with frame-accurate precision.
  • Follow Ego — the canvas pans with the ego vehicle so it stays centred in view. Useful for cut-in, lane-change, ACC, unprotected-left.
  • Ghost trails — Path and Footprint, at a configurable time interval, to see motion history at a glance.
  • Re-simulate after editing the scenario on the canvas.
  • Export .webm in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, or Free — all locally, via the browser’s MediaRecorder.
