Security and privacy

drawtonomy was designed for confidential road and scenario work from day one. Edit data never leaves your browser, and the esmini scenario player runs locally in WebAssembly. You can verify every claim on this page yourself in the browser’s developer tools.

This section is written for OEM security, IT, and legal teams evaluating drawtonomy for internal use.

  • Data flow and privacy — exactly what does and does not leave your browser, and how to verify it.
  • Offline usage — how to use drawtonomy today with zero outbound network traffic.
  • Security FAQ — short answers to common questions from OEM legal and security teams.
  • Browser-only editor. No application backend, no database, no account system.
  • No feature uploads shape, OpenDRIVE, or OpenSCENARIO data.
  • esmini runs as WebAssembly inside your browser; scenario files stay in browser memory.
  • No third-party crash reporters or analytics SDKs. The hosted version at drawtonomy.com counts anonymous page views via Google Analytics; no edit data is included.
  • No cookies. No service worker. No IndexedDB. localStorage holds UI preferences only.
